 Not Just a Mailbox

Yes, it’s true! I’ll never look at our mailbox the same way again. Who would’ve thought that a simple mailbox could deliver so much joy!  Now I know you’re thinking she’s flipped her lid! A mailbox doesn’t deliver joy! It dishes out bills, notices, scams, and junk mail! Well, that may be true for most, but that is not all that our mailbox can do….

About Mammy Oaklee

A wife, mother, grand-mother, farmer and wrinkly ol' writer, who's finally got some roots planted in 'The Heart of the BottomsUP 2/3 Acre.' A born and raised city-chick, who found many'a smiles where her heart had always longed to be, in the country. Digging in as close to the beginning of creations, and finding wonderment with a smile. I live my life as a rollar-coaster adventure, and always adding new dreams as old ones are full-filled. Of course, I write about it all!

“Love never dies and there is no limit”….It’s going in my new quote book and journal, you know the pink one with the words,” Friends don’t cut it, that’s why your my sister..”
Great article and a real tear-jerker, Sandra!! God works with all of us, especially our children and in just the right way. Now Kadeen will have faith and love for God that won’t easily be shaken, as well as a love for Chicken and Scooter:)
Keep up the good work! We’re coming to depend on it…

What a wonderful story! Loved it!!! It made me smile and cry both at the same time! You are a gifted storyteller! 🙂

  3. Absolutely another rip-roaring masterpiece! I can definitely appreciate the ups and downs of life with animals and farm life. This piece takes me back to my childhood adventures when I readily adopted every critter that I could. Nostalgic and heartwarming. 🙂

The only thing that possibly could have added to it is if Mike could have captured you in a photograph running after the kitten in your slippers and housecoat!

    Awesome job!
