Winter- Quiet Time for Healing

Heart of the BottomsUpWinter ~ Quiet Time for Healing

Well it has been a harder than usual winter for me. I was struck down with ill-health and have been fighting for a few months, you see. With severe anemia and low iron both in co-hoots, they left my life’s energy down in my boots. But they were caught and in the nick of time, both being built back up so I can make this rhyme 🙂

Winter time is when all things look dead. They really are not, they are growing stronger in bed. It is a good thing there is a dormant season, a quiet time for rejuvenation. So honestly, when you think about it, winter time was the best time for healing all of it.

Winter is the quiet time, healing, restoring and repair. It can happen more speedily in this season then in all compare. Spring time is slowly creeping in here now, yet seemingly dragging its feet, but I am not complaining of this, no how. This is buying me  time to store more energy.  All my summertime feats will need all the best of me.

There are still many things I can do in the meantime, as long as I am sitting, I can use my brain to write stories and rhyme. I can do anything I set my mind to. With God’s backing I can blow even your mind too. As long as I keep using my thinker and rest. Continue making wise choices like refraining from running, dancing, or hook line and fish.

About Mammy Oaklee

A wife, mother, grand-mother, farmer and wrinkly ol' writer, who's finally got some roots planted in 'The Heart of the BottomsUP 2/3 Acre.' A born and raised city-chick, who found many'a smiles where her heart had always longed to be, in the country. Digging in as close to the beginning of creations, and finding wonderment with a smile. I live my life as a rollar-coaster adventure, and always adding new dreams as old ones are full-filled. Of course, I write about it all!

  1. I almost posted an article on how to BLEND with the Seasons! Now I’m glad I didn’t…your personal example teaches much more effectively. BUT I also love to see how ‘similar minds think alike’! 🙂

    Awesome post! And…WELCOME BACK! 😀
